In 1997, Pure Blue Japan was founded by Ken-ichi Iwaya who had a profound love for natural indigo and the way it ages over time. PBJ are on a continuous mission to challenge the new expression of indigo by utilizing the delicate and outstanding technology of Japanese craftsmanship for all processes, including dyeing, weaving, sewing and distressing.
